Readers

reader Our Reader Ministry is made up of a broad cross section of parishioners. We are young and old, men and women, all dedicated to proclaiming God's Word. We as Ministers of the Holy Word, look upon what we do as an occasion to awaken faith in the Christian community assembled for worship. Readers minister at all the weekend and weekday Liturgies. This ministry is open to all confirmed persons of faith who posses the skills necessary for effective proclamation of God's Word. Training is available for all those who are interested. Call the church office at 398-6618 to express an interest in this ministry.

Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist

em_pix Ministering the Eucharist is more that distributing Holy Communion at Mass. The ministry requires us to be Christ-like, so that Christ may touch those to whom we minister. There is spirituality appropriate to this ministry, rooted in an understanding of the mystery of the Eucharist. The ministry of bringing the Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ to our parish community at the celebration of the Eucharist and to those who are confined to their homes or to nursing homes is a beautiful and rewarding ministry.  Dedication, reflection, prayer and discernment are necessary for sustaining a life of generous service to God's people both inside and outside the Liturgy. Ministers must be long-standing, active, practicing Catholics. An invitation is extended to those who feel the call to minister to God's people. Call Donna Day at 727-393-1288 to express an interest in this ministry.     Reard more about Extrordinary Ministers of the Eucharist
